It is quite obvious that The sun is huge and important But just how big and important. The sun a giant ball of gas formed in the sector of our solar system.it is the colossus of our solar system easily being more massive than even jupiter.the sun is what keeps us alive but how long has it been here it is estimated that it is 5 billion years old .The sun is mostly made out of hydrogen and helium by mass

How does the Sun’s energy affect life on Earth?

You would think that the energy would be something like fire or spitting out lava. Well the sun really does spit out lava but it isn't the energy it makes.the energy comes from its core reaching a temperature of 150 MILLION DEGREES celsius.Because of the hot temperature it is able to paradise energy from the core the process could take 100,000 year to complete but after that the energy can go to earth in under 8 minutes (The distance between the sun and earth is 15o million  km)

How does the orbit of the sun create night and day?

It's not really the sun that creates night and day, it's the axis in the earth. The axis is an invisible line in the earth that causes the earth to spin and the axis doesn't spin along with the earth.Although the sun doesn't cause the earth to spin that doesn't mean that it wont play a role in the solar system the sun really move its earth thats moves in a circle around the sun the axis spins the planet and then tilting making seasons.
